Maria was using the self-service drinks machine in a Supermarket Cafe. The cup provided did not fit the machine properly, so as she was filling it with hot water, the water spilt on to her hand. Maria sustained a severe burn to her hand and suffered from shock in the accident. She has been left with scarring from the incident.

Sarah had just come down an inflatable slide during her primary school’s fun day and was getting up to leave the area, when another pupil came down and knocked her over. Sarah fractured her leg in the accident and required metalwork to be inserted to correct the damage. This later needed removing in a further surgical procedure and she has been left with scarring from the operations.

Our client, Michael, asked us to bring a claim against his employer for the accident he sustained whilst working as a steel fabricator. On the day of his accident, he had been working with an angle grinder to cut channelling when the tool clipped an edge and flew up cutting his left wrist to the bone. He was rushed to hospital where he was treated for his injury.

Whilst working as a bar tender, Alexander was taking out a heavy bin bag to the commercial dustbin and as he swung it up to get it over the side, a piece of glass inside the bin bag came though the bag and cut his arm. He was taken to hospital suffering from a laceration to his left elbow.

It was dark and raining heavily when our client, Jake, was driving in the outside lane of the M20 motorway near Westwell. Ahead of him a lorry had jackknifed under the bridge, but as it had no hazard or warning lights on Jake didn’t see it until it was too late. He briefly thought about swerving into the middle lane, but there were other vehicles there which had also swerved to avoid hitting the truck. He slammed on his brakes but could not avoid colliding with the lorry.
